In July 2021, Aegis Logistics and Royal Vopak of the Netherlands will form Aegis Vopak Terminals (AVTL), a joint venture (JV) with the goal of growing together in the LPG, chemicals storage, and handling business. The new partnership will manage a network of terminals currently located in five strategic ports along India’s east and west coasts. With a total capacity of approximately 9,60,000 cubic metres, the partnership will become one of India’s largest independent LPG and chemical tank storage companies.
? In April 2021, Sinochem and ChemChina, two Chinese state-owned firms, merged with approval from the state-owned assets supervision and administration commission (SASAC). Sasac will establish a new, unnamed entity that will be wholly owned by the Sinochem and ChemChina groups.
