The Europe Brushless DC Motor Market would witness market growth of 6.1% CAGR during the forecast period (2019-2025). The high adoption rate of electric vehicles arising from rising oil dependency issues, global warming, and environmental pollution is also likely to boost demand for the product. In addition, various government programs aimed at promoting the production and use of EVs will further stimulate demand. Brushless DC motors offer advantages such as lower rotor heat, higher efficiency, low maintenance costs, operating speed and peak point performance, and rapid response, making it ideal for a wide range of applications, particularly in electric and hybrid vehicles.

A BLDC motor with three coils on the stator has six electrical wires running from these coils (two to each coil). Four of these wires are attached internally in most models, with the remaining four wires extending from the body of the motor. In the BLDC motor example, wiring is more complicated than simply linking the positive and negative terminals of the power cell. Efficiency is a big advantage, as these motors can constantly operate at maximum rotational force (torque). In comparison, brushed motors produce maximum torque at only some rotation levels. It would be necessary to use larger magnets for a brushed motor to produce the same torque as a brushless version. That’s why even small BLDC motors can deliver significant power. The major advantage is controllability, as BLDC motors can be managed to accurately deliver the required torque and rotation speed through feedback mechanisms. In addition, precision control decreases energy consumption and heat generation and prolongs the battery life in cases where motors are powered by batteries.
