ABB expands Installation Products plant in Canada

• CA$16 million investment will create more than 60 new jobs
• The facility expansion will double the production of plastic injection molded solutions
• Increased production capacity will better meet Canada’s growing demand for safe, smart and sustainable electrification solutions

ABB will invest 16 million Canadian dollars in its installation product manufacturing plant in Pointe-Claire, Canada. This allows the expanded production capacity to meet the growing needs of customers from coast to coast.

“ABB’s investment is part of a five-year strategy to integrate new digital processes and automation across our operations,” says Matthias Heilmann, President, ABB Installation Products Division. “With our customer-first approach, this enables us to further innovate our products and manufacturing capabilities to meet the specific needs of the Canadian market.”

Pointe-Claire facilities. These include Marrette® wire connectors, NuTek® series non-metal thermoplastic boxes and Snap-it® plastic accessories. The plant also produces Carlon® PVC products and other components used in a series of Canadian product lines.
