According to the report, global air passenger traffic has been increasing at a rapid pace, propelled by the growing demand for air travel from emerging countries in APAC, the Middle East, and South America. Over the next 20 years, global air passenger traffic will increase. Airport authorities have to meet the increasing demand while also maintaining efficient passenger screening procedures. Significant resources (i.e., passenger screening systems) are needed to accommodate the increasing air traffic without impacting the operational effectiveness of a given airport.

Further, the report states that cumbersome process of passenger screening with existing systems hinders the market growth.
