Globally, start-ups are making waves in the water industry, especially in the US and Europe. In Asia-Pacific, competition among the water start-ups’ is intense too, especially in more developed economies, namely Singapore and Australia. In Southeast Asia, Singapore is a thriving center of innovation excellence in water. Therefore, the growing presence of start-ups in this country is encouraging; most of these offer unique propositions such as membrane technologies, filtration, and resource recovery. The study aims to present current industry opportunities and selected water startups' propositions. These emerging companies are considered notable for their remarkable technological solutions, and it is likely to challenge incumbent industry participants.
