The first few decades into the evolution of the launch industry, the USA and USSR (CIS) were the only space fairing nations. Half way into the 50 years of existence of this market, Europe came into the picture, and offered a commercial avenue for a wider market. Since then India, China, and Japan have grown to become commendable competitors to the traditional space leaders, however, they still have a few more milestones to gain before proving to be a reliable launch service provider.
